Holistic and Root-Cause Wellness for Covington
A lot of our patients live in Covington. Here is what they come down Hwy 190 for, and what to expect if you're thinking about it.
New patients book online. If you are already a patient, please call the office so we can put you with the right practitioner.
We’re in Mandeville, not Covington. We say that first because a page like this can make it sound otherwise. Our office is at 221 St. Ann Dr. #2, Mandeville, off Hwy 190 near Pelican Park, and from most of Covington that’s about a fifteen minute drive.
Covington is one of the places our patients come from most, so it’s worth explaining what they’re driving for.
What root-cause wellness means here
Most people find us after a run of appointments that all ended the same way. The labs came back normal, the symptom got a name or a prescription, and the tiredness, the digestion, the sleep or the brain fog stayed exactly where it was.
We start from a different question. Not “what do we call this and how do we quiet it”, but “what is this body carrying, and what does it need to do its own repair work”. That’s what we mean by root cause. It isn’t a diagnosis and it isn’t a cure. It’s looking underneath the symptom instead of at it.
How we look for it
- Nutrition Response Testing® is where most plans start. It’s a non-invasive analysis of how your body responds, used to find what’s putting stress on it.
- Whole food nutrition. What we recommend is built on what your body responded to, usually with Standard Process whole food supplements, not a plan pulled off a shelf.
- Chiropractic care with Dr. Bob Thomson, DC, who has been in practice on the Northshore for over forty years.
- Supporting care under the same roof, including lymphatic drainage massage, infrared sauna and thermography.
You’d see Dr. Bob Thomson, DC or Teri Whalen, our Nutrition Response Testing® practitioners.
What we won’t do
We don’t diagnose or treat disease, and we don’t manage medication. Keep your doctor. Plenty of our patients see us and their physician at the same time, and that’s the arrangement we’d pick too. If something belongs in a medical setting, we’ll tell you.
Is the drive worth it?
The honest answer is that it depends on how often you’ll need to come. Nutrition Response Testing® works in layers, so a program means weekly visits for at least six weeks. From Covington, it helps to plan those around a trip you’re already making.
If you’re already buying supplements and just want to reorder, you don’t have to drive at all. Our Standard Process store ships to your door.
Your first visit
A first visit is $75 and takes an hour: a full health history, an HRV test, and a complete Nutrition Response Testing® analysis. You leave knowing what we found and what we’d suggest, and whether we think we’re the right fit for you.
We’re open Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm. New patients can book online. If you’d rather ask questions first, call (985) 624-9888.
Not sure this is the right starting point?
That is what a first visit is for. Sixty minutes, a full health history, an HRV test and a complete Nutrition Response Testing® analysis, so the plan is built on what your body is actually asking for rather than a guess.
